How things would have been different if they selected Rodgers!

RELEASE THE CLAYMAKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only aquiring 4.6 percent of the vote. He can no longer be considered… Fuck Sport writers… why do we give them to right to judge these athletes… Anyone who says Cal Ripken Jr. Didn’t deserve it on his first attempt. (Some people didnt vote for him) Should have their votes taken away. You are the jerks that got beat up in high school by the jocks and finally have a way to get back at them. You are even emptier because of this then you were back then. Im glad you were strung up a flag pole. Mwhahaha
Ok i dont condone harassing nerdy people but Im still not happy and have to blame someone. I love Baines.
As part of our this week in hate series….
E. Gordon Gee
Who is this? He is the President of The Ohio State University. Why does he get the nomination for this week in hate? Because back in November, this bow tie wearing asshole said:
“Well, I don’t know enough about the X’s and O’s of college football,” said Gee, formerly the president at West Virginia, Colorado, Brown and Vanderbilt universities. “I do know, having been both a Southeastern Conference president and a Big Ten president, that it’s like murderer’s row every week for these schools. We do not play the Little Sisters of the Poor. We play very fine schools on any given day.”
Why bring this up now? Because the Big Ten, Ohio State’s conference, has been the biscuit in Bowl bukkake this bowl season. Big Ten teams have been pasted by the SEC in games like Michigan State’s loss to Alabama 49-7 or Michigan’s loss to Mississippi State 52-14. However, I think my favorite is Big Ten’s own powerhouse, Wisconsin, getting beat by one of those teams that plays the Little Sisters of the Poor, TCU in the Rose Bowl. Hopefully after Arkansas and hopefully future Redskins Ryan Mallet destroy Ohio State, Big Ten supporters will officially shut the fuck up forever.
I think for the playoffs, we should do a preview column for each match-up. Whatta ya think, Sean-iqua? I’ll take the first one and since I’m an impartial observer, I’ll take the Ravens-Chiefs
Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs
Let me start by saying that I am glad that playoff football has come back to Kansas City. The Chiefs fan base is the best in all of football. Yes, better than the Ravens and better than the Redskins. Arrowhead Stadium is the loudest stadium in the NFL. Their home crowds are like college football crowds. It’s nice to see these fans get rewarded with being able to see a decent football team. With that being said, the Chiefs looked very pedestrian last week against the Raiders. The Chiefs O-line looked awful against a Raiders line that wasn’t really even blitzing that much and if they show that same form against T-Sizzle, Ngata and the Ravens, it could be a very long day for Matt Cassel. I’m hoping that was due to the fact that they didn’t feel like they had anything to play for (even though they did). Either way, this game is gonna come down to a few key matchups:
Jamaal Charles, Thomas Jones and maybe even Dexter McCluster v. Ray Lewis and the Ravens Run Defense
Personally, I think Charles and Jones are the most dynamic running tandem in the NFL. Charles has rushed for close to 1500 yards but what’s more impressive is his 6.4 yards per carry average. That is absolutely fucking outstanding. Charles is lightning quick, so the Ravens will want to keep him off the edges but he’s also a very effective inside runner as well. Tom Jones, on the other hand, is a bruiser and serves as a really great compliment to Charles. These two backs could be a huge problem for a Ravens run defense, despite being ranked 6th in the NFL, has been beatable (most notably by Peyton Hillis who gashed them for 144 yards on 22 carries). They have tightened up their run defense as of late, so depending on how well this matchup goes for the Ravens, that’s how the game will go.
Dwayne Bowe vs. Ed Reed and whichever corner lines up against him
Dwayne Bowe has quietly put up a monster season and is currently the hottest receiver going into these playoffs. I think he’s both overrated and underrated at the same time. I think he’s underrated because he gets barely a mention on ESPN or any of the national sports media outlets because he plays in KC. I think he’s overrated because if you look at his numbers, he does most of his damage against awful defenses. When faced with decent defenses, he’s only slightly above average. Unfortunately for Bowe, Matt Cassel has been pretty ehhh following his appendix surgery two or three weeks ago. If Cassel rounds back into the form he had earlier in the season and his O-line plays well enough for him, Bowe could find spots in the Ravens secondary to exploit.
Ray Rice vs. the Chiefs defense
As Ray Rice goes, so goes the Ravens offense. He is as the most important player on the Ravens team. If Ray can run the ball effectively and make plays via the screen pass for Joe Flacco, the Ravens can just stomp their way through KC. When Rice plays well (either on the ground or as a receiver), it opens everything up for Housh, Boldin, and Heap downfield. It’s crazy to look at the difference in how well the Ravens offense plays with Rice on his game and with Rice off his game. When he’s on like he was against the Patriots last year or the Saints this year, the Ravens offense looks like a juggernaut. When he’s relatively contained like he was through most of the Bengals game this past week and the Colts last year, the team struggles to get first downs and stinks. Lucky for them, the Chiefs is very middle of the road because it’s very young. I’d say in two years, this could be a good defense because they have really talented players (Brandon Flowers, Eric Berry, Tamba Hali, Derrick Johnson) and a good defensive coordinator in Romeo Crennel.
The Pick: I think Arrowhead Stadium will affect Joe Flacco a little bit but not enough to derail the Ravens here (The crowd here reaches 116 decibels. An airplane taking off when heard from the ground is 106. Keep in mind that the Chiefs have been waiting for 4 years to be back here so they probably will be over 116 on Sunday). The Chiefs are just a little too young to be playing well at this stage. 24-13 Ravens.
